GHI Smart Furnaces starts up a new continuous heat treatment line for an automotive plant in Madrid

The new GHI line for hardening and tempering of screws, at the facilities of Lisi Automotive in Fuenlabrada,  is already working and achieving the expected results.

Lisi Automotive, a leading international company in the design and manufacture of high value-added assembly solutions for the automotive industry, has been a GHI customer for more than 20 years. This is the second complete line that GHI installs in this factory, which also has other GHI furnaces.

“At GHI we are constantly innovating and challenging ourselves. This new line is the result of years of experience and research. It is a great incentive for GHI, that Lisi trust us again, it encourages us to continue on this path” said Jose Berasategui, General Director of GHI.

The delivered supply consists of a high temperature furnace, a low temperature furnace, a tempering tank and auxiliary equipment such as the loading system, and the regulation and control elements, all designed and manufactured by GHI.

The growing demand and the rigorous quality controls in the automotive industry, requires that the pieces gather special characteristics such as absence of dents and physical defects, uniformity of mechanical properties in all batches, structure homogeneity in all pieces, neatness in the surface finishing, among others. Thanks to its 80 years of experience and its capacity for technical innovation, GHI has developed this heat treatment line that fully complies and exceeds with the pre-established requirements of the customer and the automotive industry.
