Furnace for Heating Iron and Steel Billets
Versatility and low consumption
This type of continuous furnace uses refractory walking beams with forwards, downwards and backwards movement for moving loads through the furnace chamber during heating.
The movement system allows the furnace to be completely reversible and loaded/unloaded via either of its two openings. It can operate as a continuous or discontinuous furnace, heat a full load and then discharge it at high speed.
These installations are versatile and able to handle all types of steel billets and tubes, from 3 to 11 metres long and weighing several tonnes.
