Aluminium Wire Rod Heat Treatment Furnace
High-precision load temperature and evenness
In recent years at GHI we have developed a series of furnaces for intermediate annealing treatment for new drawing operations, and for solubilizing or curing rolls of aluminium alloy wire rod.
Intermittent trolley furnace
A forced air ventilation intermittent furnace able to perform both annealing and solubilization treatments. The furnace hearth itself acts as trolley, which means that wheel sets are protected. Maximum treatment temperature is 650 ºC. Heating can be done indirectly by means of radiant tubes, protecting the load and achieving a better finish.
Value proposition
Load temperature evenness.
Better finish through heating methods which protect loads from combustion products.
Automated process.
Installation flexibility, since it can easily be expanded.

Semi-continuous furnace
Pusher or roller hearth furnaces able to perform annealing, solubilization and quenching treatments on coils of aluminium wire rod. They are of sufficient capacity to accommodate several containers. They have one or more heating and holding zones inside the furnace. A door inside the furnace separates the heating zone and holding zones, thus preventing cold loads from having any effect on loads already in the holding zone. Temperatures of up to 650 ºC can be achieved.
The heating method can be electric or indirect by means of radiant tubes. At the furnace exit is a quenching tank into which the load is submerged automatically.
Value proposition
Quenching process can be integrated if required.
Versatility.
High-volume output.
Output can be increased in steps by adding furnace modules.
Process automation.
Installation flexibility, since it can easily be expanded.

Loading machine furnace
These furnaces are able to perform high-temperature annealing treatments and solubilization of wire rod coils. They can accommodate several coils loaded into the furnace by machine. They can work with protective N2 or argon atmospheres and perform controlled cooling operations in this protective atmosphere.
Value proposition
Output can be increased in steps by adding further furnaces to the heat treatment line.
High degree of automation.
Heat treatment quality: uniform heating speed and high-precision temperature.

HEV furnaces
The simplest solution for this application, suitable for low-volume output. Heated by electricity or gas burners. The load is placed in a manual trolley. Maximum treatment temperature is 450 ºC.
Value proposition
Simple, inexpensive solution.
Takes up little floor space.
Automated process.
Installation flexibility, since it can easily be expanded.
