Device that converts the liquid metal into ingots or slabs depending on
the mould sections. It consits in a lowering-lifting device, carrier of
the countermoulds, driven by a hydraulic cylinder or a rope suspension
system, the mould table with the water system and the control and automation
systems. The metal is fed continuously during the casting inside the moulds
where the solidification of the outside surface takes place. Solidification
is completed immediately after receiving a direct impact of pressurized
water.
