The hearth of these furnaces is made with rotating rollers driven from outside and usually built with centrifugal cast tubes of refractory steel. The loads are supported directly or by means of trays or work carriers and move through the furnaces and the auxiliary chambers. Usual treatments: austenizing, annealing, tempering.
